Saša Popović: Luxury real estate sales and villa burglary

Saša Popović and his wife, Suzana Jovanović, have seen significant changes to their real estate holdings and personal security. In Opatija, the couple previously owned two luxury apartments located directly on the coast. One of these properties, measuring approximately 100 square meters, featured a large terrace with Adriatic Sea views and access to a communal building pool. Following Popović's passing, his widow sold the apartments to a buyer from Belgrade. While exact sale prices were not publicly confirmed, previous media estimates valued the properties at nearly one million euros.

In a separate incident involving their residence in Bežanija, the family's villa was targeted by professional thieves. During the burglary, which occurred while the couple was away in Opatija, intruders entered the unlocked home and stole a safe containing gold jewelry, coins, important documentation, and several watches. The theft, estimated at 100,000 euros, was noted for its precision, as the perpetrators appeared to know the layout of the security cameras. A suspect was eventually arrested in August 2018.
