Saša Rašilov discusses past struggle with alcohol addiction

Czech actor Saša Rašilov has spoken openly about his past struggle with alcohol addiction during an appearance on Čestmír Strakatý’s podcast. Rašilov described using alcohol as a way to cope with both low energy and high stress during his first marriage to actress Vanda Hybnerová.

He admitted to a period of naivety where he believed he could harness the ‘superpower’ of alcohol to manage his moods without suffering the consequences. However, he realized that resistance builds up, requiring more consumption to achieve the same effect, which he noted leads to a destructive cycle.

Rašilov credited his current wife, Ludmila Rašilovová, as a significant factor in his decision to stop drinking approximately eight years ago. He stated that he now maintains control over his consumption, occasionally having a beer with friends while avoiding excessive use.
