Saša Vuković Boske testifies in Serbian restaurant murder investigation

Saša Vuković Boske, identified as the suspected shooter, appeared before the Belgrade Higher Public Prosecutor's Office on 18‑19 June to give testimony about the May 12 killing of Aleksandar Nešović Baji at the Senjak‑located restaurant “27”. During the multi‑hour hearing he described the events leading up to the shooting and answered questions from three prosecutors. His lawyer, Ivan Simić, told reporters that Vuković’s aim was to “shed light on the incident” and did not disclose whether he admitted guilt.

The case, which involves a total of eleven suspects, also links Vuković to a prior November‑2025 shooting at the Stek & Vine bar and has spurred a separate financial investigation. Recent arrests include former police officials and members of an intervention unit alleged to have covered up the earlier shooting. Prosecutors say they are gathering evidence and expect to file formal charges.
