Saada Governor accuses Houthi militia of using province for war and regional threats

The Governor of Saada, Major General Turki Ahmed Mazher bin Qamsha, has accused the Houthi militia of transforming the Saada Governorate into a hub for managing wars and threatening international maritime navigation, neighboring countries, and Islamic holy sites.

In an interview, Bin Qamsha stated that the Houthi group does not represent the people of Saada or Yemen, describing them as an extremist militia that has imported foreign ideologies. He emphasized that the local authorities and tribes categorically reject Houthi attempts to target Saudi Arabia and Mecca.

The Governor further alleged that the launch of missiles toward Saudi territory and Mecca is supported by experts from Iran and Hezbollah, noting that Houthi elements have received training from officers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. He reported a significant presence of Iranian and Hezbollah advisors in Houthi-controlled areas, accusing them of managing warfare and committing crimes against the Yemeni people and the region.

Additionally, Bin Qamsha claimed that Houthi-controlled provinces, including Saada, have been turned into workshops for producing mines and missiles, as well as facilities for manufacturing and trafficking narcotics.
