Saalbach, Austria expands tourism with top ski resorts and summer outdoor activities

Saalbach‑Hinterglemm in the Austrian Alps is promoted as a year‑round destination. In winter it offers a range of ski areas suited to different abilities, from the beginner‑friendly slopes of Alpbach near Innsbruck to the extensive 340 km of pistes at St Anton, the glacier‑reliable lifts of Sölden and the high‑energy nightlife of Ischgl. Family‑oriented Serfaus provides childcare facilities and gentle runs.

In summer the same mountains host more than 120 km of mountain‑bike and gravel‑bike trails, a network of hiking paths, tandem paragliding flights, Europe’s largest high‑rope climbing park, zip‑lining, canyoning, archery and local gastronomy experiences. Lift infrastructure remains open for many activities, allowing visitors to start hikes or rides from altitude. The region markets both its winter sports heritage and its diverse outdoor leisure options to attract visitors from across Europe.
