Saalim Bamba suspends NPP campaign after convoy accident

Alhaj Saalim Bamba, an aspiring National Nasara Organiser for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has indefinitely suspended his campaign following a vehicle accident involving his convoy. The incident occurred on Monday, September 7, 2026, while the team was traveling from Tumu to Wa in Ghana’s Upper West Region after a campaign engagement in Bolgatanga.

A statement from the campaign team, signed by spokesperson Alhaji Suwaari Ibrahim A-Rahman, noted that while most injured individuals have been treated and discharged, one person was transferred to Wenchi Methodist Hospital for further medical attention. The campaign has halted all activities to prioritize the welfare and recovery of those affected by the crash.
