Saarland police announce scheduled speed checks

The Saarland police have announced a series of scheduled speed enforcement operations across the region for the week of August 10 to August 16, 2026. These mobile radar controls are specifically targeted at locations identified as accident hotspots due to high frequencies of incidents or specific accident causes.

Key enforcement locations include various stretches of the B 51, B 41, B 269, B 10, and B 423, as well as several motorways (Autobahns) such as the A 6, A 8, A 62, and A 620. Specific cities and districts subject to these checks include Völklingen, Saarbrücken, St. Wendel, Neunkirchen, Saarlouis, Homburg, and Merzig.

In addition to scheduled mobile units, the region utilizes stationary speed cameras. Authorities note that while specific locations are announced, further unscheduled speed checks may occur, and some scheduled operations may be canceled due to operational requirements.
