Sabadell begins major water pipeline renovation
Aigües Sabadell has begun the renovation of the Llevant artery, one of the city's most critical water supply pipelines. The project is being carried out in phases, starting near Adriana between Sarajevo and Budapest streets.
The total investment for the works is approximately 900,000 euros, with around 700,000 euros provided by a subsidy from the Diputació de Barcelona. The first phase is expected to be completed by late November, with no planned water supply cuts. A second phase, intended to reach Plaça d'Espanya, is projected to take place during 2027.
Upon completion, the project will have renovated nearly one kilometer of pipeline from the Can Llong reservoir to Plaça d'Espanya. The works will impact several TUS (Transports Urbans de Sabadell) bus lines, including L4, L44, L14ds, and F4.
