Sabah Chief Minister emphasizes human development alongside economic growth

Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor has emphasized that the state's progress must balance physical and economic growth with human development. Speaking at the state-level Maulidur Rasul celebration at the Sabah International Convention Centre, he stated that true advancement cannot be measured solely by technology or economic metrics, but must include the cultivation of knowledge, integrity, and social responsibility.

Hajiji noted that the principles demonstrated by Prophet Muhammad, such as justice, trustworthiness, and compassion, should serve as the foundation for Sabah's development. He expressed the state government's commitment to ensuring inclusive growth that benefits both urban and rural populations.

The Chief Minister further called for these values to be implemented across all levels of society. He urged civil servants to demonstrate trustworthiness through efficient and transparent service delivery, while leaders must prioritize the interests of the people.
