SABAH. city innovation campus opens in Baku

President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the first phase of the ‘SABAH. city’ innovation campus in Baku. Located at the High Technologies Park of the Ministry of Science and Education, the project is planned to eventually cover 20 hectares.

The completed first phase spans over five hectares and includes 20,000 square meters of built-up space across four interconnected buildings. The campus features various amenities, including restaurants, a market, an event hall, and outdoor sports facilities such as basketball, football, and padel courts, alongside pedestrian and cycling lanes.

The campus is designed to host more than 1,500 students from Baku State University, Azerbaijan Technical University, and Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, focusing on engineering, information technology, and applied sciences. Once fully operational, the site is expected to see approximately 3,000 daily visitors.

Additionally, the ASAN AI Hub has been established at the campus to support artificial intelligence initiatives in Azerbaijan. The hub aims to connect researchers, government institutions, and the private sector through a unified digital platform and an open innovation model.
