Crvena zvezda fined by UEFA for fan misconduct

UEFA has imposed significant disciplinary sanctions on Crvena zvezda following their Europa League qualifying match against Viktoria Plzeň. The club faces a total fine of approximately 99,500 euros for various infractions, including the use of pyrotechnics, fans blocking public passages and stairways, and the display of messages deemed inappropriate for a sporting event.

In addition to the financial penalties, UEFA has issued a conditional sanction involving the partial closure of the north stand at the Rajko Mitić Stadium. This closure is suspended for a two-year probationary period, meaning any repeat offenses could trigger the immediate loss of stadium capacity.

Separately, player Mohamed Abu Fani received a three-match suspension in European competitions following a physical altercation with an opponent. These penalties follow a previous fine of 135,000 euros issued to the club regarding their match against Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
