Sabah FK prepares for Champions League clash against Slavia Prague

In the Misli Premier League, Sabah secured a 3-1 victory against Imishli during the sixth round. Following the match, Sabah head coach Valdas Dambrauskas announced a one-week break for the squad to allow players to rest following the international break.

Looking ahead, Sabah is preparing for high-stakes fixtures, including a match against Neftchi on October 9 and a Champions League encounter against Slavia Prague on October 13. Dambrauskas emphasized the need for the club to maintain its rhythm and overcome challenges to establish itself as a major club.

Slavia Prague, the Czech Republic champions, enters the Champions League stage with a squad valued at approximately 101.95 million euros. Led by manager Jindřich Trpišovský, the team currently leads the Czech elite. However, they face roster challenges as goalkeeper Andrey Kolar and defender Igho Ogbu are ineligible for UEFA competitions until January.
