Sabancı Holding completes CarrefourSA sale to Yeni Mağazacılık
Sabancı Holding has finalized the financial settlement regarding the transfer of its CarrefourSA shares to Yeni Mağazacılık AŞ, the owner of A101. Following a notification to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on October 23, 2026, the holding company made a final additional payment of approximately $6.47 million to the buyer.
This final installment brings the total amount paid by Sabancı Holding during the divestment process to $91,949,568.10. The transaction, which involves an 89.28% total stake in CarrefourSA (comprising Sabancı Holding’s 57.12% and Carrefour Nederland’s 32.16%), was initially announced in April 2026 and completed in July 2026 following regulatory approval.
While the company's enterprise value was initially set at $325 million, the final share value resulted in a negative figure due to the company's net debt and net working capital at the time of closing. This accounting outcome required the seller, Sabancı Holding, to pay the buyer rather than receiving a sale price for the shares.
