Saber Interactive adds Steam Workshop to Space Marine 2, mods face issues

On July 30, 2026 Saber Interactive released patch 14.0 (Confrontation) for Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2, introducing Steam Workshop integration that lets players install community‑created mods with a single click.

The update separates modded gameplay from the base installation, disables public matchmaking for sessions that use mods, requires private lobbies, displays a watermark and isolates progress. An initial catalog of 24 mods—including the large‑scale Astartes Overhaul—was offered, but many mods fail to load due to technical incompatibilities and server‑file errors. Saber Interactive has not set a fix date, though a hot‑fix is expected.
