Saber Interactive confirms no generative AI in Space Marine 3

Saber Interactive has confirmed that generative AI will not be used in the development of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3. This announcement follows community concerns regarding the studio’s use of the technology in another project, Rideshare Stimulator.

Tim Willits, Chief Creative Officer at Saber Interactive, stated that the studio is also excluding generative AI from several other major licensed titles, including Hellraiser: Revival, Stuntman Hollywood, Turok: Origins, Jurassic Park: Survival, and a John Wick project. This stance aligns with the strict policies of Games Workshop, the owner of the Warhammer franchise, which has banned the use of AI in its content production and design processes.

While Saber Interactive is avoiding generative AI for these high-profile titles, the studio intends to continue experimenting with the technology in other projects, such as Rideshare, to evaluate its potential impact on player experience and development workflows.
