Saber Interactive reaches 15 million players for Space Marine 2 while developing new AAA shooter
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has reached a milestone of 15 million unique players, according to publisher Focus Entertainment and parent company PULLUP Entertainment. The figure includes players who accessed the game through subscription services. The milestone coincides with a surge in Steam activity following the launch of the game's Year 3 update, which introduced the Chaos Siege mode.
Simultaneously, Saber Interactive is recruiting for a new, unannounced AAA first-person shooter project. Job listings for a Senior Narrative Designer at the studio's St. Petersburg branch indicate the project will be built using Unreal Engine 5 and will feature PvPvE multiplayer elements set within a well-known universe.
While not officially confirmed, industry speculation suggests the new title may be a collaboration with Hasbro, following a partnership announced in February 2025 to develop a AAA game based on one of Hasbro's major brands. Fans have pointed to potential connections to the Transformers franchise, though some details regarding the engine used differ from previous company statements.
