Saber y Ganar returns to RTVE with special season

The Spanish game show ‘Saber y Ganar’ has returned to RTVE for a new season following the summer break. The upcoming season is noted as significant as the program approaches its 7,000th episode this October and its 30th anniversary in 2027.

To mark the return, the show is hosting a special ‘Second Chances’ week. This initiative allows former contestants to return and pursue unfinished goals. Featured participants include María José Cano, a retired teacher aiming to reach 100 appearances; Jesús Polo, a retired teacher seeking to join the ‘Magníficos’ club; and journalist Lydia Rodríguez, who seeks to complete a previous match.

During the premiere, host Jordi Hurtado issued a formal apology and rectification regarding a mistake made in July involving a question about Immanuel Kant’s ‘Critique of Judgment’. He noted that contestant Marc Mendoza had answered correctly, but the show had previously marked it as an error.
