Sabina aims to produce 20,000 prosthetic breasts for cancer patients
Sabina Public Company Limited is entering the 20th year of its ‘Sewing Cup Sewing Heart’ project, aiming to produce 20,000 prosthetic breasts this year to support women recovering from breast cancer surgery. The initiative focuses on restoring confidence to patients through volunteer-led sewing activities, where each piece takes approximately four minutes to complete.
CEO Duangdao Mahanavanan noted that the project's success relies on multi-sector collaboration. Key partners include PTT Global Chemical (GC), which provides LLDPE plastic pellets for the prosthetics and upcycled PET fabric for sewing kits, as well as Central and Robinson department stores under Central Retail, which will host campaign activities from October to December 2026.
Over the past two decades, the program has distributed more than 328,100 prosthetic breasts to patients via hospitals and various agencies. This year, the campaign also introduced ‘Puffun,’ a mascot designed to represent hope and care for those affected by the disease.
