Sabina McMahon advocates for pediatric cancer research amid osteosarcoma battle
Sabina McMahon, a 17-year-old singer-songwriter, is fighting a long-term battle with osteosarcoma. Originally diagnosed at age 12, the bone cancer has relapsed five times and has since spread to her lungs.
Her family, originally from Portland, Oregon, relocated to Columbus, Ohio, to support her treatment at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Sabina has become a vocal advocate for pediatric cancer research, highlighting that such research currently receives only 4 cents of every dollar in federal research spending.
Despite her health challenges, Sabina continues to pursue her education and music, having recently completed her first full-length album.
