Sabina Ćudić resigns as president of Naša stranka

Sabina Ćudić has resigned as the president of Naša stranka following poor results in the general elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In a letter to party colleagues, Ćudić acknowledged the failure to achieve expected outcomes, noting that the results were particularly weak in Sarajevo, where the party holds power.

Ćudić stated that while the party had the opportunity over the last four years to implement its core policies, it failed to do so effectively. She emphasized that responsibility for the loss should be sought internally through personal and collective failures, rather than blaming voters or political opponents. She remarked, “Excuses are not answers,” and noted that her year in leadership was insufficient to provide a more efficient way of governing or a more credible vision for voters.

She views her resignation as a way to initiate a democratic process within the party, which is expected to hold its regular congress in the spring. Ćudić expressed her continued commitment to the party and praised the work of its young activists and candidates.
