Sabrina Iannucci debuts with 7 anniversari at Rome Film Festival
Director Sabrina Iannucci has made her feature film debut with ‘7 anniversari’, which premiered at the 21st Rome Film Festival. Competing in the Freestyle section for the Best Debut Film award, the film is a bittersweet romantic comedy that explores the complexities of time and commitment.
The story follows Teo (Lorenzo Zurzolo), a creative delivery rider, and Emma (Benedetta Porcaroli), a professional voice actress. To avoid the fears associated with permanent commitment, the pair enters into a pact to end their relationship after exactly seven years. The narrative, set between Cuneo and Lisbon, examines whether love can be fully experienced when its end date is predetermined.
Iannucci, born in Rome in 1989, transitions to fiction after a background in documentary filmmaking, including work with inmates at the Viterbo prison. The film is a co-production between Italy and Portugal.
