Sabrina Ionescu leads Liberty to overtime win over Wings, ending four‑game skid

Sabrina Ionescu scored 12 of the New York Liberty’s 16 overtime points, going a perfect 5‑for‑5 from the field, to secure a 99‑98 victory over the Dallas Wings on Monday. The win snapped a four‑game losing streak for the Liberty. The game had been postponed four days earlier due to the team’s travel problems leaving New York.

Arike Ogunbowale tied the game with 3.9 seconds left in regulation, sending it to overtime. Breanna Stewart contributed 33 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists, while the Liberty rallied from a 12‑point third‑quarter deficit to force the extra period. The Wings were without star Paige Bueckers, who was placed on the resting list after a recent ejection.

The comeback marked a turnaround for the Liberty, who had struggled offensively early, shooting 3‑for‑20 before the overtime surge.
