New York Liberty defeat Indiana Fever 83-75

The New York Liberty rallied in the second half to beat the Indiana Fever 83-75 at Barclays Center in Commissioner’s Cup play. Veteran forward Breanna Stewart led the comeback, scoring 30 points and converting 18 of 21 free‑throw attempts, while the Liberty shot 33‑for‑40 from the line overall. After falling behind by double digits in the third quarter, New York erased a 12‑point deficit with a 19‑4 run and a defensive press that forced turnovers and foul trouble for the Fever.

Rookie guard Pauline Astier provided a late surge, scoring six of her 12 points in the fourth quarter. Indiana’s star guard Caitlin Clark struggled, finishing with 10 points, seven rebounds and nine assists and picking up her fifth foul with 6:26 left, which limited the Fever’s ability to respond. The Liberty played without point‑guard Sabrina Ionescu, who remains questionable with a back injury, while the Fever were led by Monique Billings’s 15 points and eight rebounds. The win extended New York’s winning streak to four games and kept them unbeaten in the Eastern Conference’s Cup competition.
