Sabrina Salerno and Jo Squillo unite against social media haters

Italian singers and presenters Sabrina Salerno and Jo Squillo have expressed solidarity with one another on social media following online criticism regarding their appearance and clothing.

After Salerno, 58, faced hateful comments on Instagram regarding photos of her in a bikini, Jo Squillo, 64, responded by posting a video on her own Instagram story. In the video, Squillo mocked judgmental comments by appearing topless in a garden, using digital stickers to comply with Meta’s nudity policies.

Salerno previously addressed her critics by stating that wearing swimwear is about feeling good in one's own body rather than acting young. The two women, who collaborated on the 1991 song ‘Siamo donne’, have reunited in spirit to challenge social media users who attempt to dictate age-appropriate attire.
