Sabrina Sato announces pregnancy and Carnival initiative

Brazilian presenter Sabrina Sato, who is seven months pregnant with her second child, has announced a special initiative for the Unidos de Vila Isabel samba school. Sato, who is expecting her first child with actor Nicolas Prattes, is inviting 24 Black pregnant women to participate in the school's 2027 Carnival parade.

The project aims to celebrate female strength and ancestry on the Marquês de Sapucaí parade route. The initiative aligns with the school's 2027 theme, “Torto Arado: Sobre a terra há de viver sempre o mais forte,” inspired by the work of writer Itamar Vieira Junior. The call is specifically directed at Black women who are currently three months into their pregnancy.
