Sabrina Sato celebrates sixth month of pregnancy amid shifting maternity trends

Brazilian presenter Sabrina Sato has reached her sixth month of pregnancy. The 45-year-old revealed that she has intentionally slowed down her hectic routine to focus on her health, her family, and her connection to the pregnancy.

Her announcement highlights a broader demographic shift in Brazil. According to data from the Ministry of Health and IBGE, births among women aged 40 to 49 increased by 65.8% between 2010 and 2022, rising from 64,000 to 106,100. Conversely, births among adolescents aged 10 to 19 fell by 42.9% during the same period. This trend is attributed to increased female education and greater participation in the workforce, as many women now prioritize professional stability and personal development before starting families.
