SACE launches Latin America Champion Program to boost Italian exports

SACE has introduced the Latin America Champion Program, an initiative designed to support Italian companies in strengthening their commercial presence and building new business relationships across Latin America. The program, held in Rome with the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, involves collaboration with CDP, Simest, Confindustria, and Unioncamere.

Through specialized training and business matching activities, the program aims to assist companies with local market analysis, partner identification, and the development of internationalization strategies. The initiative focuses on six priority markets: Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, and Peru.

Alessandro Terzulli, Chief Economist at SACE, noted that between 2019 and 2025, the average export growth rate toward Latin America reached 6.5%, outpacing the global average of 5%. Key export sectors include capital goods such as machinery, electrical equipment, and agricultural transport, as well as intermediate goods like chemicals and pharmaceuticals. High-end consumer goods also maintain a significant market share in certain regions.
