Sacha Baron Cohen leads 300 Ali G lookalikes through London

Sacha Baron Cohen and approximately 300 fans dressed as his satirical character, Ali G, staged a large-scale promotional event across London. The group, many wearing signature yellow clothing and wrap-around sunglasses, visited several landmarks including Big Ben, Marble Arch, and the Thames.

The procession moved from Covent Garden to Leicester Square, where the group visited a McDonald’s before concluding at Cineworld Leicester Square for an Ali G lookalike competition. The event serves as promotion for Cohen’s directorial debut, ‘Ali G: Who Iz I?’, which is scheduled for a limited one-week theatrical release on October 23 via Amazon MGM Studios before moving to Prime Video.
