Sacha Baron Cohen releases trailer for Ali G: Who Iz I

Amazon MGM Studios has released a new trailer for ‘Ali G: Who Iz I?’, marking Sacha Baron Cohen’s directorial debut. The film, which stars Baron Cohen and Morgana Robinson, is scheduled for a limited theatrical release for one weekend only, starting October 23, 2026.

The plot follows the character Ali G, who, after twenty years of inactivity, discovers his long-term girlfriend is eight months pregnant. Seeking to reclaim his former glory, he travels to America, where he faces adversaries that threaten his and his child’s existence. The film has received an R rating from the Motion Picture Association for crude/sexual content, graphic nudity, language, and drug use.

The trailer features a comedic meta-narrative in which the character Borat Sagdiyev appears to warn audiences against seeing the film, addressing criticisms that the character perpetuates racist stereotypes.
