Sacha Boey remains at Bayern Munich after failed moves to Everton and Celtic

Bayern Munich defender Sacha Boey has remained at the German club after several potential transfer moves failed to materialize during the recent window.

Everton reportedly came close to signing the 25-year-old right-back following talks with Bayern Munich, but the Merseyside club ultimately opted to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Olympique Lyonnais instead.

Additionally, Celtic rejected a highly favorable offer from Bayern Munich for a one-year loan. Despite Bayern being willing to cover approximately £2.7 million in costs to facilitate the move, Celtic chose to pursue Jordan Lotomba to fit their squad profile. Bayern Munich's sporting director, Max Eberl, noted the difficult situation regarding Boey's role within the team.
