Sacheon City seeks legislative support for Aerospace Complex City

Sacheon City held a meeting with local lawmakers to coordinate efforts for securing national and provincial funds for 2027 and to advance key regional projects. Mayor Park Dong-sik presided over the session, which focused on the early enactment of the ‘Special Act on the Construction and Support of the Aerospace Complex City’.

This legislation aims to establish a hub for the aerospace industry by providing infrastructure such as a national aerospace task force, exemption from preliminary feasibility studies, and the establishment of special accounts. The city is also working toward designating the urban development area by December and establishing a development plan by June 2027.

Additional discussions included infrastructure for small and medium-sized aerospace enterprises, the expansion of the Sacheon Airshow, and various local environmental and community projects requiring financial support.
