Sachsen-Anhalt voting initiative reaches 100,000 users

The “Taktisch Wählen” (Tactical Voting) initiative has provided over 100,000 voting recommendations ahead of the state election in Sachsen-Anhalt. According to Ole Horn, a spokesperson for the initiative from the Funke Media Group, the website has received more than 250,000 visits.

The tool provides recommendations for the Green Party or the SPD based on specific electoral districts. The stated goal is to help these parties surpass the five-percent threshold and prevent an absolute majority for the AfD. The initiative has reached approximately six percent of the 1.7 million eligible voters in the region.

The campaign has drawn mixed reactions from political parties in Sachsen-Anhalt. While the Greens have expressed full support, other parties, including the FDP and AfD, have criticized the initiative as an attempt to influence the election.
