Sachsen Equestrian Team Claims First Bundeswettkampf Vielseitigkeit Victory

The 52‑year‑old Bundeswettkampf Vielseitigkeit held in Sahrendorf saw a historic win for the Saxony team, who captured the Wanderpokal for the first time. After a modest showing in the dressage phase, the quartet of Christian Gärtner (Veritas), Antje Schöniger (DSP Schoensgreen Hedda), Cecile Rother (Wiesenguts Auf und Davon) and Oliver Beseke (Nostradamus P) delivered flawless rounds in the terrain phase and added just four points in the final jumping, securing the title with a score of –123.1.

In the individual competition, seven‑year‑old rider Johanna Schumacher clinched the single‑rider victory on Be My One, representing the Weser‑Ems equestrian federation. The event introduced a new format allowing competitors to choose between CCI 2*‑L and CCI 3*‑S classes, with the best three scores per team counting toward the overall ranking.
