Saco Oliveros de Lince wins FIDE World Schools Championship stage

Saco Oliveros de Lince from Peru won the American Continental Stage of the FIDE ISCF World Schools Team Championship 2026 in San José. The team finished the tournament undefeated, securing 15 out of a possible 16 match points.

Harvest Park Middle School from the United States earned second place, while Crescent Heights Academy from Canada took third. All three top teams have qualified for the Grand Final scheduled for December.

During the final round, Saco Oliveros de Lince secured their title with a 4–0 victory over Chile’s Saint Gabriel’s School. The competition concluded with a tribute to mothers and various individual board prizes.
