SACOMBANK upgrades core banking to hybrid cloud

SACOMBANK, a leading Vietnamese commercial bank, has successfully upgraded its Temenos Core Banking platform. The transition moves the bank from an on-premises deployment to a hybrid cloud environment utilizing Red Hat OpenShift and IBM Power infrastructure.

The upgrade is designed to support retail and SME banking operations, managing approximately 13 million daily transactions. Key performance improvements reported include a 200% increase in application performance, three-times faster deployment cycles, and a 50% reduction in server footprint.

Additionally, the bank has selected the Temenos Payments Hub to enhance its cross-border payment capabilities as part of its ongoing digital transformation strategy.
