Kings General Manager Scott Perry recently traveled to Florida to observe a workout by the former All-Star, who has been working toward an NBA comeback since 2021. The Kings currently have 13 players with guaranteed contracts and are looking to bolster their roster with veteran depth, specifically targeting a backup point guard to support Darius Acuff Jr.

Meanwhile, Kings rookie Maxime Raynaud has been making an impact during international play with the French national team. Following a strong performance against Belgium, Raynaud contributed 13 points and 15 efficiency rating in under 10 minutes against Slovenia. The young center noted that he is using his summer experience to prepare for his upcoming NBA season, emphasizing his focus on collective team performance and learning from veteran teammates.
