Sacramento Kings sign Ben Simmons to one-year deal

The Sacramento Kings have signed former All-Star Ben Simmons to a one-year, $3.5 million deal. Simmons, who sat out the 2025-26 season to focus on his mental health, returns to the NBA for his tenth season. The Kings reportedly won the pursuit of Simmons after interest from the New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors.

As the team prepares for training camp, the roster remains in flux. While the organization faces uncertainty regarding the future of Domantas Sabonis, the team is looking to add depth. There is speculation that the Kings may also pursue a two-way deal for former first-round pick Cam Whitmore, who was recently waived by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

For the 2026-2027 season, Kings games will be broadcast locally on NBC Sports California, with national coverage provided by ABC, ESPN, NBC, and NBA TV. Fans outside the local market can access games via NBA League Pass, Amazon Prime Video, and Peacock Premium.
