Delhi: 56-year-old arrested for sexual assault of sixth-grade student
A 56-year-old man, identified as Maqsood, has been arrested for the alleged sexual assault of a sixth-grade student in Delhi's Sadar Bazar area.
According to police, the minor was lured into a shop around 11 p.m. while she was out to purchase stationery items. Once inside, she was reportedly restrained with her hands and legs tied before being assaulted.
A case has been registered at the Women Police Station under provisions related to rape, wrongful confinement, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Following his arrest, the suspect was placed in judicial custody as investigations continue.
