SADER and Sinaloa officials meet with agricultural leaders

Federal and state officials held the first meeting of the Federal Cabinet with the Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER) in Sinaloa. The meeting included SADER Secretary Columba López Gutiérrez, Sinaloa Governor Graciela Domínguez Nava, and Sinaloa Agriculture Secretary Ismael Bello Esquivel, alongside leaders from the agricultural sector.

The discussions focused on strengthening the state's agricultural and livestock economy. Key objectives include guaranteeing the total commercialization of maize harvests through advance purchases and industry agreements, supported by federal budget allocations.

Additional topics addressed include providing accessible financing with preferential rates, restructuring overdue portfolios with FIRA, and implementing measures to control rising costs for agricultural inputs. Officials also discussed updating and expanding registries for the Fertilizer and Production for Well-being Programs to ensure access for all producers, including those in seasonal farming.
