Sadhguru and Graphic India announce animated film Shiva The Adiyogi

Sadhguru and Graphic India have announced a partnership to produce an animated feature film titled ‘Shiva: The Adiyogi’. The project is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in 2027.

Rather than following conventional mythological depictions, the film aims to retell the story of Shiva through the lens of yogic lore. The narrative will focus on Shiva’s role as the Adiyogi (the first yogi) and Adiguru (the first guru), exploring how he introduced the concept of transcending natural limitations through yoga.

Graphic India, known for ‘The Legend of Hanuman’, will lead the production. Sharad Devarajan, co-founder of Graphic India, will serve as producer, co-producer, and writer. The film intends to use high-quality animation to bring ancient Indian spiritual traditions to a global audience.
