Sadhus march in New Delhi over Shri Ram Mandir donation allegations
Approximately 500 sadhus and religious leaders, including Computer Baba and Prakashanand Giri Maharaj, marched toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence in New Delhi on Monday, August 10, 2026. The protesters are demanding a high-level, impartial investigation into alleged financial irregularities and the misappropriation of donations related to the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Independent Lok Sabha MP Rajesh Ranjan, known as Pappu Yadav, joined the march to call for a fair inquiry into the alleged theft of temple funds. The protesters intend to submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister requesting strict legal action against those responsible.
In Parliament, Congress MP K. C. Venugopal has called for a judicial inquiry monitored by a Supreme Court judge, dismissing the current Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe as a “farce” intended to protect the actual perpetrators. The protests coincide with a Supreme Court hearing regarding a petition for a CBI investigation into the financial discrepancies.
