Sadie Sink discusses Jean Grey role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day

New behind-the-scenes footage for Spider-Man: Brand New Day provides insight into Sadie Sink’s portrayal of Jean Grey. Costume designer Sanja Milković Hays explained that while the character’s attire incorporates yellow and green colors from X-Men history, it does not utilize a traditional superhero suit to better reflect the character's identity and power.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton and choreographer Nathan Kim praised Sink’s performance, noting her ability to balance strength and vulnerability while portraying the character's mental abilities. The film, which features Tom Holland, is scheduled for digital release on October 6, 2026, with physical media following in December.

Sink is set to reprise her role as Jean Grey in the upcoming Marvel X-Men film directed by Jake Schreier. That production is expected to introduce a new X-Men team to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, featuring a cast that includes Adam Driver, Kit Connor, and Maya Boyd.
