SADOP La Rioja issues notices to private schools over unpaid teacher bonuses

The Association of Private School Teachers (SADOP) in La Rioja has issued formal notices to private educational institutions that have failed to pay teachers the ‘Chachos’ bonuses for July and August. Following these legal intimations, several schools, including Colegio Sagrado Corazón and Escuela Gabriela Mistral, have begun regularizing payments.

The outstanding amount is approximately 100,000 Chachos per teacher. Some institutions have settled the debt using a mix of pesos and Chachos, while others transferred the peso equivalent. These schools are currently using funds from family tuition fees to cover the costs while awaiting the confirmation of provincial government subsidies.
