Saïdou Sow Returns to FC Nantes on Loan from Strasbourg

Guinean centre‑back Saïdou Sow has rejoined Ligue 1 side FC Nantes on a season‑long loan from RC Strasbourg, with an option for Nantes to purchase him permanently. The move, confirmed on Friday, marks Sow’s second spell at the club after a six‑month loan in early 2025 that was cut short by an ACL injury.

Sow originally came through the AS Saint‑Étienne academy, transferred to Strasbourg in the summer of 2023 for around €3 million on a contract running to 2028, and made 14 appearances for the Alsace club. After recovering from his injury, he will return to Nantes to compete for a place in the defence.
