Saeima deputies' highest salaries for August 2026 revealed

Public information reveals the highest salaries among Latvian Saeima deputies for August 2026. Saeima Speaker Daiga Mieriņa received the largest payment of 7,645.85 euros.

Other top earners included Agata Zariņa-Stūre with 6,269.95 euros and Jānis Grasbergs with 5,602.70 euros. Several other deputies, including Raivis Dzintars, Artūrs Butāns, and Linda Matisone, received payments exceeding 5,200 euros.

Deputy salaries are funded by the state budget and regulated by the Law on Remuneration of Officials and Employees of State and Local Government Institutions. In 2026, the base monthly salary for a Saeima deputy is 4,330 euros before taxes. Additional compensation may be received for roles within the Saeima Presidium, factions, commissions, or subcommittees, but deputies do not receive bonuses for attending sessions or delegations.
