Safaricom hosts Home Internet clinic for Embakasi residents
Safaricom held a Home Internet clinic in Avenue Park Phase 1, an estate in Embakasi, Nairobi, to engage directly with residents regarding connectivity issues and available internet solutions. During the event, technical experts and staff were available to address customer concerns firsthand and provide guidance on various home internet options, including fibre-optic and 5G router services.
Hakim Ali of Safaricom’s Home Segments team estimated that approximately 70% of Avenue Park is connected to the Safaricom network. The company stated that these clinics are part of a broader initiative to visit various estates across the country to bridge the gap between the provider and its customers.
According to Safaricom’s fiscal year 2025/26 results, the company’s Fibre-to-the-Home customer base grew by 35% year-on-year to 407,080. The company has also increased speeds across its Home Fibre plans by up to 2.5 times at no extra cost.
