Safaricom launches ‘Bundle Ya Wakulima’ to support Kenyan farmers

Safaricom has launched ‘Bundle Ya Wakulima’, an integrated digital solution designed to support farmers across Kenya. The service aims to enhance food security and productivity by combining connectivity with essential agricultural resources.

The bundle provides an affordable package that includes voice, data, SMS, and WhatsApp access. It also integrates insurance options, agricultural advisory services, and discounted production support, such as farm inputs and mechanization, alongside credit pathways for eligible users.

During a farmer engagement forum in Meru County, Safaricom’s Chief Consumer Business Officer, Fawzia Ali, noted that supporting agricultural powerhouses like Meru is critical to strengthening national food security. The rollout in Meru follows previous regional events in Kirinyaga, Bomet, Nakuru, and Bungoma.
