Safe-T 2026 event focuses on patient safety and medical simulation
At the Safe-T 2026 event in Rome, held for World Patient Safety Day, experts and officials discussed the future of healthcare through prevention, technology, and advanced training.
Renato Loiero, advisor to the President of the Council, emphasized that investing in healthcare prevention can improve care quality and reduce systemic costs. He highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration to integrate advanced technologies into the National Health Service.
Patrizia Angelotti, CEO of Accurate, and other participants focused on the role of clinical simulation in medical training. The new National ECM Program 2026 will officially recognize clinical simulation as an autonomous training type, awarding it the highest credit value (3 credits per hour). This reform aims to reduce medical errors, noting that simulation can reduce clinical risks by up to 37%.
