Safety concerns reported at Italian parks and school zones

Residents in two different Italian locations are raising alarms regarding public safety and urban maintenance.

In Bolzano, families using Parco Olimpia Carpi have reported several hazards, including broken water fountains, excessive vegetation, and accessible pest control devices. Parents also noted sharp edges on structures and issues with underground parking facilities. Renato Spazzini, Director of the Environmental Protection Office, acknowledged the need for definitive safety measures and noted that some structures are temporarily cordoned off while the municipality coordinates with condominium administration.

In Fiumicino, a separate incident occurred at Parco Leonardo where unidentified individuals allegedly threw stones from a balcony toward a street in via Varsavia. The incident took place during school dismissal hours, causing panic among parents, students, and motorists. Local residents have expressed significant anger and concern regarding the security of the area, citing issues with illegal occupations and general neighborhood decay.
