Safie launches AI-driven tailgating detection for access control

Safie Inc. has introduced a new tailgating detection feature for its cloud-based facial recognition access management service, Safie Entrance. The feature aims to mitigate security risks in unmanned or low-staffed facilities, such as fitness gyms, rental offices, and monthly apartments.

By utilizing Safie One edge AI cameras, the system automatically compares the number of people authenticated by facial recognition terminals against the actual number of people passing through a line detected via camera footage. If a discrepancy is found, the system identifies it as tailgating. This solution eliminates the need for expensive specialized sensors, allowing users to leverage existing security camera infrastructure to improve operational efficiency and security monitoring.
